The  annual 'Iolani Cross Country Invitational will be held on Saturday, September 20 at the Wheeler Army Air Field.

"We have once again partnered with the USO to produce a spectacular running event.  This year, our meet will be held at beautiful Wheeler Army Airfield near Scholfield Barracks in Wahiawa, Hawaii.  The USO races (5K and 10K) will start concurrently at 7:00 a.m., " said Invitational coordiator and 'Iolani coach Jim Rubasch.

  This year's high school races begin at 9:00 a.m. and will feature 16  OIA schools, all ILH schools, and some California schools including perennial powerhouse Dana Hills and Rivera Middle.  The courses will be fast, and we should see some excellent racing.

Runners are welcome, including 'Iolani alumni, to join this great event. For more information, call 943-2208.
